Making a Donation
We are almost wholly dependent on charitable donations to keep the Ark open. If you are able to help, and would like to do so, you would be helping to maintain a service committed to helping the homeless and the vulnerable – those less fortunate than ourselves, who are least able to help themselves.
There are a number of ways to make a donation to the Ark. A regular monthly (or annual) donation would be absolutely wonderful. If you feel able to help us in this way, please print out and complete a Banker’s Order Form and send it in to the Charity’s Treasurer. It has to be in “hard copy” because your Bank will need your original signature before paying up. For a Banker’s Order Form, click here.
Please be as generous as you can.

Gift Aid
If you expect to pay Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year, it would be very helpful if you can print out, complete and send in a Gift Aid Declaration Form. This allows the Charity to reclaim the tax you have paid on your donation, at no further cost to yourself, which means that your donation is worth 25% more to us than the sum you actually give. What is more, if you pay tax at the higher rate, you can report the donation on your next Tax Return and reclaim the difference between the standard and higher rates of tax payable on your original donation, thus reducing the actual cost to you. Everyone wins (except the Taxman!).
Zeno’s Dog
For a different way to donate if you’re interested in poetry then why not think about purchasing ‘Zeno’s Dog’ a selection of poems by local artist and writer Simon Peter Iredale at a price of just £4.00 + £1.00 p&p. For more details Click Here!
