Mike Lindsey - £3K donated to Shrewsbury Ark

A lasting legacy

A 50km ultra-marathon run in memory of Mike Lindsey, who was known locally and died suddenly on 21 November 2017, has led to a very generous £3000 donation to The Shrewsbury Ark. Last year Hungarian writer Eva Cserhati, who lives in Shrewsbury and was a friend of Mike’s, decided to run the South Wales ultra-marathon in his memory. Shropshire Star - Property of Homeless is taken away

Why items are removed from Shrewsbury’s streets

Local media has recently reported about the Police removing items belonging to rough sleepers in Shrewsbury. This move has been made in partnership with Shropshire Council and Shrewsbury Town Council as part of the Public Space Protection Order that any unattended property, which includes sleeping bags, will be removed and taken to the town centre police station where it will be held for ten days to be collected.
