This year's Big Busk was the best ever, with over 100 acts signing up to make the day the biggest celebration of street music Shrewsbury has ever seen.  Performers and supporters alike turned up on a drizzly day to inject some joy into the town centre and raise over £8,500 for The Shrewsbury Ark.

The Big Busk was launched 5 years ago to honour the memory of Ark client Ben Bebbington, a talented musician, who was killed in an unprovoked attack in Shrewsbury in 2012. The live music event not only raises much needed funds for the Ark, but also gives us the opportunity to raise awareness of our work amoungst local residents.

We want to thank the event's organisers, including Ben's sister Karen, for the massive amount of hard work they put into to making this hugely successful event possible.  They are taking a well deserved rest in 2018, but assure us that the Big Busk will be back with a bang in 2019.
