Marking World Homeless Day with the Big Shropshire Sleep Out!

Join us on Saturday 10 October for the inaugural Big Shropshire Sleep Out at The Shrewsbury Ark.
Yes, it will probably be a cold, uncomfortable night on concrete but it is for one night only - unlike for many of the people who we support, where sleeping outside is not a choice.
Our inaugural Big Shropshire Sleep Out is not about pretending we know what it feels like to be homeless; it is about experiencing what people go through at probably the hardest moments of their lives, standing with them, and raising vital funds to help us continue our work supporting vulnerable people in our community.
On the night, you’ll be sleeping in our secure carpark, at 32 Castle Foregate, Shrewsbury, SY1 2EH. There will be stewards during the night, and there will be access to our toilets.
Starting at 8pm, on Saturday 10 October, we will provide hot drinks in the evening and a cooked breakfast at 6am on Sunday 11 October. inaugural Big Shropshire Sleep Out finishes at 8am.
From immediate crisis support and providing life’s basic needs, to health and mental health care, and creating longer-term pathways towards stability and independence, your fundraising will help us continue to make a positive difference to other people’s lives.

We ask everyone taking part to aim to raise £250 or more.

Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult (one adult per two children) and have written parental/guardian consent.
